ABOUT YARRAKATHA
Yarrakatha Consultancy is a proud Indigenous- and female-owned Queensland business delivering services across Australia. We are three Mitakoodi–Gangalidda sisters from North West Queensland and a lifelong friend, united by a shared purpose to support people, organisations and communities to move forward with confidence and strength.
Our work is informed by lived experience, formal qualifications and professional training, as well as extensive hands-on experience across Australia. We have worked across diverse roles and sectors, including significant experience in the resource sector, and partner with clients as trusted cultural business advisors to deliver practical, culturally informed and outcomes-focused solutions.

Yarrakatha is a Mitakoodi word meaning to pick up, reflecting how we work - building capability and knowledge through shared practice.

We are three Mitakoodi - Gangalidda sisters from North West Queensland and a lifelong friend, united by a shared purpose to lift people, organisations and communities through practical, culturally informed and values driven support.
We have lived and worked across Australia across working closely with many Indigenous groups across the country in various roles.
With more than 90 years of combined experience across health, human resource management, training and development, higher education, public sector, mining and construction.
Yarrakatha is a verb in the Mitakoodi language. It speaks to the act of picking up, gaining and mastering knowledge through doing and sharing.
That meaning guides how we work.
We are a proudly Indigenous-owned, female-led consulting business providing business management, leadership, HR and IT advisory services. Our approach is centred on working alongside people — sharing knowledge, building capability and supporting others to gain confidence and mastery in their own roles and organisations.
We have a deep understanding of the impact and value that Indigenous employment, leadership and enterprise bring to organisations and communities. While we work with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients, we are particularly passionate about working with Indigenous businesses, community-controlled organisations and community-led initiatives.
Our work is grounded in leadership, respect and practical experience. We don’t impose solutions — we share, support and build together, so people can pick up what they need and carry it forward themselves.
Yarrakatha is deeply committed to social responsibility and community wellbeing. We proudly provide pro bono support to the Mitakoodi Elders Council, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening social and emotional wellbeing, mental health, cultural connection, and overall health for people living on our traditional lands.
Through this support, we actively contribute to strong, healthy, and culturally connected communities.
